Philippians 4:8. “Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.”
I was asked recently how one could abide by the scripture in Isaiah 26:3 “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” ESV. I believe the Bible has the answer to everything and my friend Eva Noonoo found it in today’s verse. This is what she says;
Let’s adopt the habit of thinking about God and waiting on Him for direction. Do not make a step before enquiring from Him if He is interested or not. Let Him go before you and you will never regret you did. Occupy your mind with these and you be the most successful person on earth. Live so when people get to know you, they will want to know Christ.
Be happy because He that is in you is more than a conqueror.
Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
Dear Lord, Teach me to filter my mind through Your word. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
