WHAT DO I GET OUT OF IT?

Matthew 19:27                   “Then Peter chimed in, “We left everything and followed you. What do we get out of it?””

Is it worth it? You give up all the things that might seem fun but keep you tied down to sin. You are persecuted, tormented within and without and all for what? Eva Noonoo attempts to answer that;

At times we are forced to ask such questions concerning our whereabouts in the Lord and He keep assuring us that He is always there for us.

Peter posed this question after Jesus had told them about the rich young man. Naturally humanity would want to know the result of any service or effort rendered.

Jesus’ interest in our quest to seeking the kingdom of God is to love our neighbour. Good neighbourliness is what will keep us afloat in the things of God. The remenuration for work done in the Lord’s vineyard is Love! Look for it and share with anyone you see today and you will enjoy God’s kingdom on Earth and in Heaven.

God is LOVE

Think About This

Instead of focusing on what you’re getting out of it, check to see if what you’re putting in.

Prayer

Dear Lord, Sometimes I get selfish and think of just me and what I’m getting out of service to You. Remind me constantly that what is important is what I’m giving You. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
