Romans 13:7                      “Fulfill your obligations as a citizen. Pay your taxes, pay your bills, respect your leaders.”

There really isn’t a day for honoring our civic leadership. That doesn’t surprise me as most of us think so little of them. Our governments are corrupt, parochial, selfish and tyrannical. We rant about the government every chance we get.

Keeping it short and simple this morning; has there really never been one good leader all throughout history? This isn’t limited to heads of state; anyone who has civil authority over us should be included in this thought process. Is our response to authority biblical? What are we going to do about it?

We’ll revisit this verse another day

Think About This

Would we see a difference in our leaders and the country as a whole if you and I fulfilled our obligations as citizens, paid taxes, paid bills and respected authority?

Dear Lord, Please let people see my love for You also in my civic life. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
