1 Corinthians 10:13. “No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.”
It’s not just you. Everyone faces temptation and goes through trials and tests. Yeah I know; your case is different. It’s really hard. You’re all alone. No one understands, they don’t know what it feels like. You have no choice.
That’s what the devil wants you to think. But the Bible proves that this isn’t true.
Your case isn’t unique; someone has been through the exact same situation before, whether you know the person or not (Ecclesiastes 1:9), it is really hard, but you can do it because you are a Christian (Philippians 4:13). Why would you think you’re all alone, you know God is with you (Hebrews 13:5). Perhaps no one understands you, is man on whom you should rely? (Jeremiah 17:5). What do you mean you have no choice? There is always a choice. God has promised in today’s passage that He will always provide an escape route even when it seems impossible (Isaiah 43:16&19)
I guess the real question is; will you take it?
Think About This
Do I often chose to go my own way because it seems easier? How does it work out in the end? How about taking God’s escape hatch?
Dear Lord, Please help me always see Your escape plan for difficult situations. Give me the Grace to trust that You’ll see me through it. Amen
