2 Corinthians 12:9. “My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness.”
What more do we need, want or desire? God assures Paul in today’s verse that His grace is sufficient. That promise is extended to us also; God’s grace is all we need, to do all we want, to achieve our hearts’ desire.
How do we get this grace? It is a gift; a wonderful gift that anyone can receive if only they believe;
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—”
Ephesians 2:8 NIV
What do we have to believe in to be given grace? In God’s Word; in Jesus Christ
“through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.”
Romans 5:2 NIV
Haven’t you ever done something and then wondered how you did it because you did know how to, or weren’t fast enough, or strong enough? That is God’s strength stepping in when you are weak. You probably didn’t even ask for help, but that’s what grace is – unmerited favour
Think About This
We don’t deserve grace but we get it anyway, how do we show appreciation?
Dear Lord, Thank You for Your grace. Thank You that You are all I need even though I don’t deserve You. Thank You. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
