John 13:27 “As soon as the bread was in his hand, Satan entered him. “What you must do,” said Jesus, “do. Do it and get it over with.””

You need to make a decision, you need to follow through with an action and you need to do it quickly. It may seem a curious verse to pick encouragement from but today’s passage speaks volumes (we’ll look at just one for now).

The Bible reminds us that time is limited and there is much to be done (Mark 1:15, Luke 10:2). Christ Himself cautions a surprise return (Matthew 24:36) and leaves us pondering the parable of the ten virgins with their oil lamps. So why are we hesitant, why do we dally?
People are dying everyday and quite a number of them didn’t know the Lord, but they knew us. Hearts are hurting and bleeding and their owners have given up, yet we haven’t gone to comfort them and show them the way. Even Judas who had the most difficult mission to carry out was swift and decisive in execution.

What are you waiting for?

Dear Lord, forgive my unbelief. Lead my feet in Your way as I rush to do Your will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen
